CHAîNE FOUNDATION IN ACTION

Empowering future chefs and hospitality leaders

Over the past 40 years, we have provided educational assistance of over $5 million to more than 125 educational institutions throughout our service area. We continue to provide assistance directly to these institutions and to promote the medalists in our Young Chefs and Young Sommeliers competitions.
GIVING BACK

YOUNG CHEF and YOUNG SOMMELIER COMPETITIONS

Our goal is to encourage the cultural differences in food & wine presentation and preparation using a traditional approach and be a major player in the transmission of knowledge. These competitions encourage and promote competitive experiences, career development, professionalism, a means to showcase talent and creativity and helps to broaden appreciation of cultural differences. Switzerland organized the first competition in 1977; the US in 1990.
Competitions are held at provincial, national and international levels in countries around the world. The Young Chef Competition “Jeune Commis” has been featured on Food Network and CNN. The Chaîne Foundation is proud to support these and other career development opportunities for young/aspiring professionals.
